How Samey works

Three calm steps to feel heard.

  1. 1. Start anonymously

One tap. No pressure. Pick a name and avatar when you are ready.

  2. 2. Share or journal

Post to the feed with a feeling category, or write privately in My Space.

  3. 3. Feel the same

Others offer support through reactions. You can do the same for them.

Posting on the feed

Posts are 10–300 characters. Choose from ten emotion categories such as Lonely, Heartbreak, or Need to let it out. Toggle anonymous when you want distance from your name and avatar.

Reactions, not comments

Support on Samey looks like this:

  • Same here
  • I hear you
  • You're not alone
  • That hurts
  • Sending strength
  • I've been there

My Space journal

Journal entries never appear on the public feed. Optional mood scores help you track patterns over time. Premium members can view mood history charts.

Frequently asked questions

Does Samey have comments?

No. Samey uses reactions only — gentle emoji-style responses like “I feel you” or “Sending warmth.” There are no comment threads, debates, or reply chains.

Can I post anonymously?

Yes. When you create a post you can toggle anonymous mode so your display name and avatar are hidden on the feed.

Is Samey free?

Yes. Samey is free to use. Samey Plus is an optional subscription that unlocks extras such as mood history charts and premium avatars.

Who can see my posts?

Feed posts are visible to other Samey members. Journal entries in My Space are private and never appear on the public feed.

Is Samey a therapy or crisis service?

No. Samey is a peer emotional sharing app, not therapy or emergency care. If you are in crisis or danger, contact local emergency services or a crisis helpline.

How long can a post be?

Posts are short — between 10 and 300 characters — so you can share a feeling without writing an essay.

Ready when you are
